For this project, I aimed to transform a neutral living room into a bright and open space. The room had a high storage unit that collected dust, and took over the whole room. By using these low ikea units, we were able to display objects, as well as leaving space for a gallery wall. In doing so I was able to use the bold yellow wall as a backdrop photos and prints.
For the TV unit side, there was previously a corner tv stand and wall mounted fire. I wanted to utilise the wall space and stop the tv being the centre of the room, and again give more storage opportunities. Installing lights into the tall cabinet to show off the objects. Handmade curtains on the grey painted walls carry on the pop of colour. I did a quick mood board below using some samples that I used as inspiration, I loved the blue and yellow combination so I hand painted a picture frame the same colour to get that contrast.
