Even though Pantone had announced Greenery as its colour of 2017, I still hadn’t been that keen on green. However, after flicking through Elle Decoration UK’s April issue, I found myself absolutely besotted with the colour on Cajsa Berndtsdotter’s apartment walls (shown above). The exact colour was Balance(6325) by Jotun. (Ok, it’s a dark greeny-blue, but below I have teamed it with a lighter green) I was surprised at how well the dark green and the tan leather sofa went together. And by keeping the ceilings and floors white, as well as limiting the colour to two walls, it was not overpowering or too dark either.
Since then I have been endlessly pinning and looking at colour charts for similar colours. It then inspired me to create a mood board of some colour schemes, and I also found a similar colour by Sanderson because the Jotun colour seems to be very difficult to buy in the UK at least. The colours at the top, in order are: Skylight, Peignoir, Chasm & Green Blue. I just love the dusty pink in combination with the greens.
